Aliko Dangote, president and CEO of Dangote Industries Limited, discussed Dangote Canada Investment with Minister Mark Carney to boost partnerships.
The strategic meeting, held in Canada, examined new investment opportunities. It referenced the Dangote Canada Investment to foster cross-border collaboration and trade relations between Canada and African economies.
According to a statement after the meeting, the Dangote Canada Investment could support Canada’s economy and strengthen ties with Africa.
The discussions also covered Dangote Canada Investment as part of Canada’s Africa Strategy. Both sides highlighted promoting two-way trade and attracting investment.
Speaking after the meeting, Dangote stressed that Africa and Canada have significant opportunities to build stronger economic relationships capable of driving industrial growth, innovation, and job creation.
He noted that expanding investment cooperation would not only strengthen commercial ties but also deliver long-term economic value for both continents.
“Strategic partnerships between Africa and Canada have great potential to drive sustainable growth and create value for both regions. Additionally, there is a strong case for increasing investment, fostering innovation, and building mutually beneficial commercial relationships,” Dangote said.
As part of his visit, the Nigerian business leader also met with Ahmed Hussen, a Member of Parliament and Chairman of Canada’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
Moreover, their discussions focused on improving Canada-Africa economic ties through increased trade and investment. These efforts aim at long-term strategic cooperation to support inclusive growth and sustainable development.
