American streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat has revealed plans to construct a school for children in Makoko, a prominent floating slum located in Lagos, Nigeria.

Cenat’s announcement follows his recent visit to the area, where he generously donated funds to support the local community. During his trip to Nigeria a few weeks ago, Cenat visited Makoko and witnessed firsthand the challenging living conditions in the community.

In a video shared with his followers, Cenat expressed his dedication to the educational initiative and called for assistance from individuals capable of contributing labor or providing quality equipment.

“We are officially starting the process to build a new school for the kids here in Makoko,” Cenat declared, underscoring the pressing need for educational facilities in the region.

The initiative has garnered diverse reactions on social media, with many applauding Cenat’s efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of Makoko’s children.

Twitter user @Alambajugu commended Cenat’s actions, stating, “Imagine someone that has only been to this country once is doing something the government could not do for 6 decades.”

Similarly, @ayomiepat_ expressed optimism about the project’s success while voicing concerns over the integrity of those managing the funds, “That’s impressive… I just pray he doesn’t give the project to people who would divert all the money to their personal accounts.”
