Controversial personality Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, has not met the requirements for bail set by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed on Thursday that although Bobrisky had been granted administrative bail, he had not fulfilled the conditions.

“We have given him administrative bail, but he has not yet met the conditions for bail,” Oyewale said.

The EFCC detained Bobrisky on Wednesday in Lagos for offenses related to the abuse and mutilation of the Nigerian currency, the naira.

In a statement posted on its social media platform, the EFCC explained that it summoned the 31-year-old following a video report showing him displaying and showering new naira notes at the premiere of the movie “Ajakaju,” produced by Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao. The incident occurred at Film One Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.

The EFCC further revealed that its investigation uncovered similar alleged offenses committed by Bobrisky at various other events and parties.
