Big Brother Naija Season 11 winner Temi Nkem has officially received her grand prize, including ₦90 million in cash, a brand-new Hyundai SUV and other sponsored rewards valued at ₦160 million.

The 21-year-old emerged as the winner of the “Show Ya Sef” edition of the reality show at the grand finale on Sunday, October 4, after 70 days of competition.

Two days after her victory, Temi received the major components of her prize package during a presentation in Lagos.

Temi Nkem’s ₦160 Million Prize Package

The headline figure attached to Temi’s victory is ₦160 million, but the amount is the total value of the winner’s prize package.

The confirmed components include:

  • ₦90 million cash prize
  • A brand-new Hyundai SUV
  • Additional sponsored prizes and benefits

The cash prize was originally announced as ₦100 million. However, ₦10 million was later allocated to the season’s Most Influential Player of the Week (MIPOW) fund, leaving ₦90 million as the cash component of the winner’s package.

Temi has now officially taken delivery of the cash prize and SUV.

Temi Wins With 25.87 Per Cent of the Votes

Temi secured 25.87 per cent of the final votes cast by viewers across Nigeria and Africa.

She narrowly defeated Aikou, who finished as the first runner-up with 23.68 per cent, while Sheba came third with 9.80 per cent.

The narrow gap between Temi and Aikou made the final result one of the more closely fought BBNaija finales.

Temi’s victory also made her the fifth female winner in Big Brother Naija history, following Mercy Eke, Phyna, Ilebaye and Imisi.

What Temi Plans to Do With the Money

Beyond the excitement surrounding the prize, Temi has already spoken about how she intends to use her winnings.

The new BBNaija winner said she plans to invest a substantial part of the money rather than spend it all.

She also wants to support her parents and complete her university education. Temi said she would also keep some of the money for herself.

Her plans suggest that the ₦90 million cash prize could become more than a short-term reward if she follows through with her investment plans.

Who Is Temi Nkem?

Temi Nkem, whose real name is Temitope Chigbue, is a 21-year-old Accounting and Finance student and lifestyle content creator.

Born and raised in London, she entered the BBNaija house as one of 24 contestants competing for the season’s grand prize.

Over the 10-week competition, her personality, diary-room moments, relationships with other housemates and ability to remain prominent in the show’s conversations helped build a strong following.

She eventually survived the competition to reach the final stage alongside Aikou, Sheba and other finalists.

A New Chapter After Big Brother

Winning BBNaija gives Temi more than a cash reward and a new vehicle.

The reality show has also given her a significantly larger public platform at just 21.

With her existing interest in content creation and her plans to invest in the winnings, the next question will be how she turns the BBNaija platform into a sustainable career beyond the reality show.

For now, Temi has officially moved from Big Brother Naija contestant to Season 11 winner — with ₦90 million in cash, a new Hyundai SUV and a prize package valued at ₦160 million to show for it.
