A statement on Wednesday by the Lagos Chapter President of MAPAULUM, Gafar Odubote, said that late Oladipo died in the early hours of Wednesday, April 8, 2026, after a brief illness.
Odubote said that this was confirmed by the deceased spouse, Mrs. Elizabeth Oladipo.
The former National President passed away at about 5:00 a.m. at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, following a protracted illness and a prior successful surgical procedure.

Odubote described his death as a monumental loss to the MAPOLY alumni, noting that his leadership, dedication, and service to the asdo and the architectural profession would be gravely missed.
He said: “On behalf of MAPALUM Lagos Chapter, I prayed for the repose of his soul and asked Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest and comfort the family, friends and associates he left behind.”
Oladipo would be buried today, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in accordance with Islamic rites, he said.
