Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has arrived in Beijing, China, to advance final negotiations on a $200 million poultry project expected to be sited in Kaduna State.
The project, which is poised to become the largest poultry initiative in West Africa, is projected to generate an estimated $450 million annually, create over 350,000 jobs, and significantly enhance Nigeria’s food security landscape.
Governor Sani is in China alongside a Federal Government delegation led by the Director General of the Nigeria–China Strategic Partnership, reflecting the high-level national importance attached to the investment.
The initiative forms part of Kaduna State’s broader drive to attract transformative, job-creating, and revenue-generating ventures.
During his stay, Governor Sani will engage with leading Chinese firms, including the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), as he seeks technical collaboration, long-term investment commitments, and strategic partnerships to ensure the project’s sustainable execution.
The Governor expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Chinese Government for their continued support.
He reiterated Kaduna State’s readiness to provide a conducive environment for investors and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to driving large-scale projects that will uplift livelihoods and stimulate economic growth across the state.
The multibillion-naira poultry project is expected to mark a major milestone in Nigeria–China cooperation and position Kaduna State as a leading agro-industrial hub in the region.
