ABUJA — The Labour Party (LP) caucus in the House of Representatives has launched a strong public attack on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing the government of neglecting the urgent welfare and security concerns of Nigerians in favour of political maneuvering for the 2027 general elections.
In a sharp statement, LP House leaders condemned what they termed the APC government’s “obsession” with positioning itself for the next election cycle, calling the focus “insensitive” and “unconscionable.”
The opposition lawmakers argued that genuine governance must center on the immediate well-being and safety of citizens, especially amid mounting economic hardship and rising insecurity across the country.
