Shippers’ Council Seeks Intermodal Transport Infrastructure At Lekki Sea Port

The Executive Secretary/CEO of Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Dr. Akutah Pius, MON, has stressed the importance of developing intermodal transportation infrastructure at the Lekki Sea Port.
Speaking at the 2025 Intermodal Transport System Annual Roundtable in Lagos, Dr. Akutah who was represented by the Director Inland Transport Services Department, Alhaji Mustapha Zubairu, warned that without complementary transportation modes, the port may face congestion similar to the Apapa Sea Port.
He therefore, called for intermodal transport infrastructure, which will aim at reducing congestion and promote a more sustainable transportation system.
